Human Trafficking isn't just people forced into prostitution or to work in brothels. It can also be in the form of:
-Garment factories
-Brick kilns
-Fishing & Farming
-Domestic Child Labor
Story: "Mya" (Name changed for privacy reasons)
-7 year old who was asked by her family to sell flowers on the street (fam was incredibly poor)
-Later she was sold to a stranger, who told her parents that Mya will be working for a good family, will ship the money she earns to the family, etc (this, unfortunately, turns out to be a lie).
-Mya was sold again, became a slave
-Held captive by bonds of fear
[Author's Note: Mya is from Myanmar. If you want to find out how her story ends, follow this link: http://www.humanwrong.org/. Mya's story is the furthest on the right, I think. You can read other stories of victims too. Some end happily, some not so happily.]
What's the solution
-Prevention
-Protection
-Prosecution
