Valentine's/Singles Awareness Day 2010

Well, actually I found out that Singles Awareness Day is officially tomorrow. But oh well. I guess those who celebrate it on the 14th are SAD about being single and those who celebrate it on the 15th are proud to be single? I don't even know.

Anyway, I guess it was still a decent day despite being single. Maybe next year.... Eh, probably not. Anyway, watched "Freaky Friday" and had CPK. That was good. Did math homework. Still have a cough and such.

Hmmm.... I Hate Running Low On Creativity

I'm exhausted. Very tired. And I've got homework to do. Work was brutal. I hate Valentine's Day. Must sleep and study. If only we could do that at the same time.

20 Days Until National Grammar Day!!!

.... AKA my birthday. Weird. Anyway, didn't do much but homework, errands, work and Farmville. I also got the first season of "Lost", I'm going to watch a few episodes to see what all the hype is about.

Oh, and I forgot to mention yesterday, there's this hilarious fan page on Facebook that I'm considering joining. The title says ""Let's eat Grandma!" or "Let's eat, Grandma!". Punctuation saves lives". Yeah, funny.

Work tomorrow, and homework, bleh.

Once Again, WHY Do I Live In Illinois?

It wasn't snowing today, but it was cold-because I hadn't driven my car in two days (due to SNOW), it was frozen, took 20 mins to defrost and the trunk wouldn't open, it was so cold. I'm moving to Arizona. But anyway, I actually went to school VOLUNTARILY, even though I didn't have classes. Why? Well, my school has this event called "Death by Chocolate", which has all sorts of chocolate-y stuff. It is really good. That was fun, and I got studying done. Then work. Nothing exciting there.

No Snow Day Today, And No Earthquake Day

Even though the roads were messed up, we still had classes. And apparently we had an earthquake here. It was a 4.3 (maybe?) and I'm not sure whether I felt it or not. I THOUGHT I felt SOMETHING last night (it happened around 4am), but I was half-conscious, so I couldn't tell you whether I actually felt it or not. But we didn't have an earthquake day either. There's a Facebook group entitled "My school won't have a snow day unless it's the second coming of Jesus". I think my school falls under that category.

But I'm actually not complaining; because I had an algebra test!!! Okay, you're probably thinking, why would I be happy about that? Well, because I took it today and not Monday. Read yesterday's post for info. And I think I did okay on the test.

Other than an annoying cough and runny nose, there's not much else to report.

Snow Day From Work

So, today was non-eventual, except for a LOT OF SNOW. And homework, lots of it. I got a call from work saying I didn't have to come in today (because the library was closing early), so that was really nice. Not sure if there will be school tomorrow (there were classes today). I hope we don't get a snow day, because I have an Algebra test tomorrow. And a Geometry exam Monday. If we have a snow day tomorrow, then there will be TWO math exams on Monday, not fun.

Well, I better finish some homework. I wish I was feeling 100% better.

I Conquered the 95% Chance of Not Making It Home

Ah, the things that go on in Algebra, especially during break.... One of the girls was reading (from her phone) the snowstorm that's supposed to come and someone phrased it as being a 95% chance of not making it out of the building (95% chance of ending up in a ditch). Okay, maybe it was funnier in person (and not so funny in a blog(, but hey, I thought I'd share anyway. Who knew you could get a weather report from math class? Anyway, even though the weather prediction is for tomorrow, not today, that's the explanation for my title.

That was the extent of my excitement for the day. Saw a friend from speech class and had a Jimmy John's sandwich that was delicious but had no mayo (the horror!). Disappointing, because Jimmy John's is one of the few places that seems to get mayo RIGHT. Well, I'll live. And I'm feeling better, though still feeling somewhat sick.
