Otherwise, been working my butt off for this Politics project, and I will continue to do so until tomorrow night. Good night....

Chuck Norris: Jeopardy Champion
So, for our last History class, we got to play a game of Jeopardy! There were three teams of about 6 or 7 players; the Cubbies, the Whatchamacallits, and Chuck Norris (that was my team). It was really intense and so fun. I got to list a few right "questions": Believed to be the first Pope (Who is Peter?), Converted after encountering a bolt of light (Who is Paul?), and This name translates to "Holy Wisdom" (What is Haggia Sofia?). We did really well overall (okay, fine, we were GREAT), and then Final Jeopardy. The category was the Plague. The answer: A group of men who whipped themselves. Our group knew the question: Who were the Self-Flagellants? One group got it wrong, another got it right but didn't phrase it in the form of a question, so Chuck Norris won! Everyone in our team got 25 extra credit points!!! So that was really exciting. We had a cool team name, too. Great last History class.

Last Long Wednesday of the Semester!
THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL!!!!!
Anyway, wrapping up lit was good, found out I got an A- on my critical paper. So all I have for that class is the final portfolio and some other small project!
Today was also my last speech class. : ( Yes, that was indeed a frowny face, not a typo. While I didn't enjoy giving the actual speeches, I discovered that overall I REALLY enjoyed my speech class. Today we watched the last few speeches and reviewed for the final, which is more of an extended quiz, really. This may not seem like fun, but when you've got a great teacher and great classmates, it can be quite fun... I guess you just had to be there. Anyway, I'm feeling really good about the final so far. I'm going to miss this class, though. I never thought I'd be saying this about a SPEECH CLASS, but it's true.
I had my Spanish test today. I think it went okay, the speaking part went horribly. Oh well, hopefully it won't count against me too much. I really hope I don't have to take the final exam. I'll find out on Friday, hopefully.
Anyway, tomorrow and the day after, I'm going to have to study like HECK. But hopefully once my political science project is done, that'll make things easier. Only 3-4 finals, 2 projects and one miscellaneous other assignment until freedom!!!
That's all for now, need to sleep....

Cinco de Mayo 2009
Well, Happy Cinco de Mayo! Though no one at CLC really celebrated it. Very depressing, they should totally have free Mexican Food on that day.... Anyway, got some studying done. Doesn't feel like much, but it's something. Finished Spanish homework-yay! Tengo un examen de español mañana. I think I'll be okay, the writing and speaking bits will be the hardest parts. Otherwise, I just need to review some vocab.
History was good. Learned about the Black Death; gotta love the cheery topic of plague, death and pestilence. Also, we watched some Monty Python in class (Monty Python and the Holy Grail)-it was quite funny! I will never think of moose and llamas the same way again and that's saying something. Yep, opening credits are hysterical.
Work was good, felt weird with the reorganization/construction stuff. I got to see the area, it looked cool. I felt special because the construction area was marked "Staff Only". Yay for employee perks! Well, maybe not PERKS, but you know what I mean.
Well, on to studying more. I may or may not survive this week. I want to go to England.

May 4, 2009
Yeah, my titles are being boring, but I'm beyond caring about interesting titles right now.
Anyway, lit was good. Discussed "Angels in America" and also watched a clip from the HBO mini-series. The mini-series was actually pretty good, this is a play that is definitely better when watched rather than read (though I still don't like the very harsh profanity and other weird issues).
Speech was good, it was nice to just watch and not have to worry about speaking. Also, found out I got an A on my persuasive speech! Yay! So I've gotten A's on all my speeches, which is nice.
Spanish was good. I was REALLY tired throughout the class. But it was still good. Did some future tense stuff.
Also, studied a little and got Twitter. Fun.
Nothing exciting. I'm going to be studying a LOT this week....

Here's how my day went:
-Woke up at 5:45ish.
-Went to church at VCB at 8am.
-Went to work. Worked from 12-5. It was slightly busy.
-Went to Yogi's Pizza for dinner. It was good. The weather was actually nice. I had a headache, though, from the weather changes.
-Studied quite a bit.
That's it.
Oh, and I also bought the soundtrack of Les Misérables on iTunes-very good.

May 1, 2009
Can anyone believe that it's MAY?!?! I certainly can't. Anyway, not much happened. Had a dentist appointment (no cavities), studied a lot. Lamented on my poor driving skills and lack of driving confidence and enjoyment. I know it's stupid, but whatever. I need to go to bed soon, working 9-5 mañana....
