Working on Harry's Birthday

Today, I worked. It wasn't too bad. I got paid-yay! I was happy. Also, I drove to work and back completely by myself!!! I was so happy. I felt very free.

Today is also Harry Potter's birthday along with JK Rowling! Very cool.

Um.... I mostly chilled today. I do that a lot these days. It's nice, but it can be boring. I'm working on a new video. Dad and I had Culver's for dinner. It was good. I've also been praying and hoping and hoping and praying for a lot of things....

Well, I'm working hard for the money 9-5 tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Maybe I'll drive solo again? Who knows.

Oh, and it's SO weird to wake up to an empty house....

Done with Biology!

So, I'm done with Environmental Biology! It was a tough exam. However, the questions on "An Inconvenient Truth" were fairly easy. One was absurdly easy: "An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary narrated by which former Vice President of the United States?" Oh, I don't know, Mickey Mouse? ; ) Also, there was a comic in the test (just for fun) that looked like The Far Side, but I'm not sure. It said something like "Tim was stuck with a tough question on his Environmental Biology exam". The question? "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?" Yeah, I thought that was funny.

Anyway, I also sold back my book and got $74! Yay! I was lazy most of the day, took Dad to the library to check out some movies. This weekend, everyone else is in Indiana. So me and my Dad have the whole house to ourselves! It's weird....

We watched "Saving Private Ryan". Very well-made film, I'm glad I watched it, but MAN, it was intense, gory, bloody, disturbing, disgusting, horrifying, terrifying-NOT for the slightest faint of heart. I had to look away or go away several times. Yikes.

Well, I'm working tomorrow. Driving COMPLETELY by myself. I'm pretty nervous.

Biology Studying

Sorry I didn't update yesterday, I forgot. Anyway, nothing special about yesterday. Both yesterday and today I was quite lethargic. Last lab today was good. I studied a little for the Biology finals, but I had NO motivation considering there's no way I'm going to get an A in this class anyway. Can't wait for tomorrow morning to be over.

Working Phone Biology

Let's see....

I worked 8:45-3 today. It was hectic, but not too bad. At least I'll be earning extra money this summer. And my sandwich was actually good (an Italian Focaccia Sandwich from Dominick's)!

I called a friend whom I have not spoken too in a while. It was... good, it was nice to catch up with them, but neither one of us had a lot of interesting stuff going on, we were both tired (I especially was very lackadaisical), so while it was a good phone chat, it wasn't stellar. Oh well, that happens with any conversation-some are really good, others could be better.

The rest of the day, I studied for Biology. I'm starting to go crazy right now. Part of me is convinced that I'm going to flunk and another part thinks there's still some hope. We'll just have to see.

Oh, and I have the travel bug BIG TIME today. I really want to go back to Costa Rica. Or go to London. Or Italy. Or ANYWHERE! As long as it's outside of the U.S.....

Today we went to the "nearby" zoo. It was kind of fun. At least I got a couple animals I can do a report on, and therefore get extra credit. Then I studied a bit. I am tired. That was my day in a nutshell. I am so frustrated right now, it is hard to believe. Oh well, life's tough, suck it up and deal with it....

So, I know my titles haven't been very creative lately, but I don't feel like being creative, so oh well. Work was from 8:45-1pm today, and I guess it went okay. I didn't drive by myself, though, because the main roads I take there were either closed or under construction and Mom didn't want my first drive to work by myself involve a detour. Oh well. Had Noodles and Company for lunch. It was great. Had Dairy Queen later that day. That was good too, I got a Cookie Dough Blizzard. This afternoon I watched "An Inconvenient Truth" as part of a Biology assignment-it was interesting. Surfed the web looking for financial aid and dorm stuff. 13 months and I'll be gone! Yes! Also, I researched travel stuff to see how much I'd have to save for a trip to London. Or, a trip to Guatemala and Costa Rica. Those sound very nice right now....

So, Biology was okay. I'm NOT feeling good about the final exam at all. But at least I didn't do as bad on the lab quiz as I thought. And hopefully my extra credit will make up for my lousy tests. Anyway, after lunch, I drove one of my brothers to our local library with no parental supervision! I felt happy and free. And I think I did a fairly good job. At least, no one died and I didn't crash into anyone, run anyone over or get pulled over. : ) Afterwards, there was a HUGE thunderstorm. It was frightening. I watched Rent again, this time WITH audio commentary. It was good. Anyway, I'm tired, but I don't want to go to bed. I also don't want to go to work or study. Oh well.

So, Biology was interesting. My professor showed us a lizard, really cool. That would be my personal recommendation for this class; less lecture, more lizards. Anyway, I was mostly bored the rest of the afternoon. Studied here and there. Working tonight. I am SO tired already. 8am lab tomorrow. Eww.... My life is so mundane.

Work, Go Roma and Biology

So, work was busy. Thankfully, the report system came back on! Yay! Still a busy shift, though. Oh well. For dinner, I went to Go Roma with a friend and it was very good. The Fettucini Alfredo Roma is good and garlicky, but quite messy. I love their bread as well. Driving all over was fine. Hopefully it won't be long before I get to drive by myself! Yay! After dinner, I studied a little for Biology. Hopefully things will be okay this time.

A Strange Sunday....

So, church was good. Went to Quizno's for lunch, that was good. Tribe was good. Had KFC for dinner, that was good. And yet, I didn't have a good day, or weekend for that matter. Maybe it's because I'm tired. Who knows....

Coldstone Friday

So...

Today I worked. It wasn't bad.

This afternoon I went to Coldstone with a friend. It was great! My mix-in was Cake Batter ice cream with peanut butter and Heath bars-very good! Um.... Not much else today.

Biology (NOT) and Boredom

So, I went to Biology, only to find a note that it was cancelled! Yay! So, I did a little bit of studying, but was also bored. Even after watching two movies, attempting to make one and watching tons of YouTube videos. Oh well. I need to do more with my summer.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

So, 8am lab in wetlands was good. I was DEAD tired, though. The pond lab was neat, too. Lounged for a bit afterwards, then I saw the new Harry Potter movie with one of my friends. It was quite good. There were a couple scenes that they could have left out and the filmmakers are REALLY going to have to tie some stuff together in the last movies, but overall I really liked it.

Not a Good Day-07/14/09

CLC was fine. Got a really bad grade in Biology. Not good. Work was so-and-so. Kept dealing with emotional crap, which isn't good. There were other stuff too. Oh well, hopefully it'll get better.

Monday Madness-07/13/09

Hi,

Work was busy, but not as bad as last week. Didn't do much else, except watch 2 movies. Those movies were "Night at the Museum" (I prefer the second "Museum" movie myself) and "Rent" (I REALLY liked that one). Need to go to bed soon.

Camping Trip

Hi!

I'm back! And I had a good time, though I'm tired....

Anyway, road trip over there was good, sang along to the "Wicked" soundtrack, fun. Setting up the tent was fine. We played a HYSTERICAL game of Apples to Apples. So fun.

Saturday: Didn't sleep well because of an intense thunderstorm. Thankfully our tent not only stood up, but didn't leak at all. We then went to Noah's Ark Water Park, which was quite fun. I went on some intense slides. I was tired and sunburnt by the end. Had some fun afterwords, which involved making s'mores on a campfire.

Today: Didn't sleep well because of my sunburns. We mostly cleaned up, packed up, and headed home. I will say, we didn't have a worship time, devotional time or anything on the trip, which was a bit disappointing. But, we did have a regular young adults group meeting 3 hours after we got back, so I did get some of my "spiritual fix" (totally not the right words, but I'm exhausted).

Anyway, I had a good time, and pictures are on Facebook. It was SO nice to finally get away for a weekend. The bad news is, I'm tired and my shoulders are in a lot of pain from sunburns. Also, I'm feeling kind of down right now-I probably have PTD (Post-Trip Depression); I get that every time I come back from a trip and I HATE it. Oh well.

Camping Retreat!

Work was fine. Driving there and back went well. I mostly sat around after that, mildly bored. Actually, so bored that I created a YouTube account. I doubt I'll upload any videos, just favorite them. :)

Anyway, I leave for Wisconsin Dells in 1 hour or so! That means I won;t have access to a computer Sunday. When I get back, I'll write a huge update. In the meantime, it feels good to travel again (even if it's only to Wisconsin).

Bio Test and Panera

Biology was interesting. Biology test was alright, who knows how I did on it. One of the students brought in their pet lizard, it was cute. Hung a little, packed a little, then left for Panera. I met up with one of my friends there-it was a great time. : ) Driving to and from was fine (STILL not on my own, though-grrr). I still love my car. Can't believe I leave for Wisconsin tomorrow.

For field trips my Biology class went to a bog and a marsh. Both were quite neat, I liked them. I didn't do anything else today, really, excepting studying. I still feel like I haven't studied enough, yet I also feel like studying any more really isn't going to help. I hate that feeling.

So, I had class. It was interesting. Packed a little and studied a little. I have a Lab quiz tomorrow and a lecture test Thursday. Yuck. Quiz shouldn't be too hard, but I'm worried about the test. Oh well, I'll do my best.

I'm also working today. Should be somewhat less busy than yesterday.

Monday of Busyness

So, I worked 6 hours today. 8:45am-3pm. Because work was closed Saturday and Sunday, today was HECTIC! Really busy, I could barely catch up. The bins and holds were always overflowing, I was running around like crazy and it was just so tiring. Oh well, at least I was productive, the day went by fast, and I get paid. Mom and my brothers (at least the youngest two) went to the Wild West Town while I was at work (I can't for the life of me remember where it is, but they had a good time). We went to Barnes and Noble after I was picked up at work and I bought a magazine and a book. The book was Breaking Dawn (my least favorite book in the overrated Twilight series, but at least it's something new to read). As for the magazine, I normally am NOT a magazine person, but this one was entitled Budget Travel. Two of my favorite words. It had some interesting info. I'm considering subscribing to it for at least a year or two, it looks cool. Then I mostly chilled and now I'm planning on studying for Biology a little bit before going to bed. 9am lecture tomorrow. How fun (yeah right). Hopefully I can do better on the next test, I need it.

Stress on July 5, 2009

So.... Church was good. Tribe was good. Driving was good. I just have a ton of stresses.

One: No one else besides me has shown interest in Urbana. I think money is the biggest issue. Even though you only need five people, it's feeling like an impossible task right now. And getting a group together is mandatory because I can't go to St. Louis by myself. *sigh*

Two: I have a Biology test on Thursday, and while so far I've studied more than I did last time, I still don't feel great about it. I NEED to do well on all the tests!

Three: I work tomorrow for 6 hours and it's going to be HECTIC because work was closed two days in a row. Not going to be fun.

Fourth: Just my general, permanent stress that never seems to go away.

*sigh* Guess I have a lot to pray about....

Happy Fourth of July 2009!

Hi, Happy Independence Day! And Happy Independence from Meat Day! Very weird, I know.... Gotta love random holidays.

So, I didn't do much (surprise, surprise!). Woke up way too late. I got 10 and a half hours of sleep. Played Apples to Apples and Mafia with the fam. Family went to see fireworks. I didn't because of the noise, and ESPECIALLY because of the nauseating, lovesick couples. It always makes me disgusted and, at the same time, it makes me jealous and bitter, because I have always been single and always will be, because no one will ever date me. So I'll never have someone special to share fireworks with. :(

Okay, not much happened today. I worked this morning. Got to drive my car to work and back (again, not solo-can't wait for when I can) and I still love it. Not much else. I am getting so bored this summer, NOT good. I need to change this. Oh well, one week until I leave for a weekend trip to Wisconsin!

How Is It Already July???

Summer is going by WAY too fast. I need to do something EXCITING! Class was fine. Not much else today. I need to see more people. But so far this week hasn't been good for keeping in touch with people-a few of the people I have contacted haven't replied yet. :(
